The New Money Masters

Hi There!

I haven’t been writing for over month, so time for some catching up!

Nowadays I’m working on a startup which I’m really excited about, so no affiliate marketing for now.

Another thing is, I started watching The New Money Masters DVD Series and I want to tell you about it.

The New Money Masters is a DVD Series created by Tony Robbins, wherein he interviews successful internet marketers who have made a fortune in this industry and continue doing so, while are focused on creating value rather than just making profit.

So the 12 Knights of the Round Table are:

  1. Jeff Walker
  2. Russell Brunson
  3. Mike Koenings
  4. Brendon Burchard
  5. Chet Holmes
  6. Chris Brogan
  7. John Carlton
  8. Marie Forleo
  9. Frank Kern
  10. Dean Jackson
  11. Eben Pagan
  12. John Reese

I recommend you get the series, even if you’re content-driven like me, and you just want the step by step 1-page guide, the profoundly inspiring conversations they are having can and probably will make a positive impact on you as they had on me.

Product Launching + Case Study

5 Reasons to do a product launch:

  1. Creating a brand
  2. Quick Income (In the U.S it can be 1 million$ in 1 day, in Israel 100000$
  3. Building a list (Out of 100000, 1000 bought the product, it’s a great list)
  4. Building a sales army (connecting with affiliates)
  5. Free traffic (since the payment to the affiliate is post-sale) instead of PPC, Media Bind or SEO.

Everyone can do a product launch to practically anything, though information products work best, especially those who claim to be (and are) life changing.

What to do?

Bring as many people to a specific website on a specific date and time

This is built on the idea of scarcity, when people see it will be off the market soon, they feel they have to get it. It’s a lot easier than creating a Google campaign or doing SEO.

How long does it take?

In the US it usually takes 2 month, in Israel it can be done in 3-6 weeks as well.

How much can you earn?

In the US an average launch makes 1 million$ on the first day, In Israel its 100000$.

Building a brand, and a list, and creating a 100000$ in one month – usually won’t work, but do not despair! Read on, we have a case study here.

Eben Pagan created a product on dating

Jonathan Budd – Internet Marketing Product.

Anik Singal created products on Self Development, Affiliate Marketing.

Each of them never makes a product before the product launch is over!

It’s called a Drip Campaign – You get details for a membership-based website, and you get content each week, so all you need to start is the first video.

You can think outside the box and be creative as to how to do this, in every field.

How to create a product?

Outsourcing works well (Use Elance, Guru, Click Bank, Wish List, Aweber)

To get started you may want to write an ebook, reports, or give out coupons (in exchange for someone to give his email).

All you need is a simple system which can give password-protected access to customers.

Invest the money in the marketing not the technology.

Why does it work?

  1. Opinion leaders – you use people who are credible affiliates or authorities in that area, who recommend you or your product. Just like every book on Oprah’s book club turns into a best seller overnight.
  2. Psychology – If there is a product, which we heard about from people we trust, which is running out, we’ll do whatever it takes to get it.vJust like Apple did with iPhone and iPad.

Product Launching is the simplest marketing strategy and is bullet proof – Mike Peters

Case Study: Product Launch

Health Information Product by Ayelet Rozenfeld

What did she do?

Built a mailing list (blog)

Started doing seminars & webinars – Became an ‘authority’

By 2009 created with a whole-day seminar, did it throughout 2010, and made her business official.

A month ago (this was December 8’th 2010) started the product launch process and doubled (!) her profits (in 1 month).

Pre-Pre Launch (Month before Launch)

Told her list she’s working on something new and she’s very excited, details soon.

Pre-Launch (Two weeks before launch)

She gave out lots of free valuable stuff via a webinar (promised gifts to the ones who join)

*You give them value in advance, and when they see the product – they jump on it

In the webinar she didn’t sell anything, only talked about the kit (the product) and she told them to be prepared for a specific date which will include something special – details later.

Offered to sign up for the special launch list and get the values and be ‘the first to know’.

In return you get the webinar recording + a video (which she’d only added a week later)

They were not packaged, but uploaded here:

She has a Facebook page and a blog (Starting pre-pre-launch post on November 2nd 2010)

Where she involved personal stories, and interacted with the readers, asked for their thoughts after the video (via mail) and created a relationship.

Here’s her Squeeze Page which she gave away:

(Built during the process – bonuses and testimonials came later)

The price was revealed just a day before!

And the mail – said that at 8.00 am the doors will open.

The page changes into this

The doors were open for a week, but people still changed their shifts at work in order to get it at 8 am!

The Numbers

78 products were sold at 1460 NIS, 30 on the first day. This equals 113880 NIS .

After the week was over, the product price changed to 1966 NIS.

She sent another email with pictures and asked the buyers to write their reasons for buying it as homework.

Did it all work as planned?

After all it was only 8 Audio CDs and 1 DVD…

She delayed the launch from 14 to 16 of November because the CDs weren’t ready!

One of the bonuses was the DVD of her cooking, but she didn’t get it on time – and sent them a whole month later!

Things don’t have to be perfect for it to work.

Every kit cost her just 200 NIS.

THE ANSWER: Grow Any Business, Achieve Financial Freedom, and Live an Extraordinary Life

THE ANSWER covers both practical psychology and business, it includes useful techniques and strategies, case studies and personal stories.

But is it really THE ANSWER?

It is AN answer, a very important one, which I believe is crucial for success in any field, but to claim it is THE ANSWER is probably more of a marketing thing than a philosophical breakthrough.

What does it say?

On the psychological side, they’re talking about the same idea used by Napoleon Hill, Earl Nightingale, Bob Proctor, and of course many others; The one which is well-illustrated in the movie The Secret.

The Law of Attraction

There are many ways to phrase it, and even more ways to explain it.

My favorite phrasing is: What you put out is what you get back.

If you want something, act as if you already have it and are in that state;

Change your mindset and your brain-mind system to start attracting it to you.

Why does this work?

Well, you can laugh about it like this guy (love this video!)

Thing is, it HAS been demonstrated to work times and times again (Some cool evidence later on perhaps)

The explanations span from the biophysical level (R.A.S System in the brain) to the psychological level (subconscious programming) to the scientific level (vibration resonance and morpho-genetic fields) to the metaphysical level (Mirroring effect).

If you’re into spirituality, check out Gregg Braden’s ‘Lost Mode of Prayer’ which explains this well.

This blog isn’t about philosophy nor peak performance, so I’ll spare you the explanation.

I’m sharing this just to be open about my actions, not only on the business & finances side.

So What Do I Do?

Right, so to use this principle there are various techniques, they call their one

@Neural Reconditioning@ Tony Robbins calls his method @Neuro Associative Conditioning@

and Richar Bandler calls his @Neuro Linguistic Programming@

They are all unique, and yet are variations of the same principle when applied in this context.

Step 1

Get into an aware and focused meditative state (Sit quietly & focus on your breath)

*Tony Robbins is all about energy, so in his method you start walking and breathing like a beast.

Step 2

Visualize yourself in a position where you have and are all you want and desire.

In THE ANSWER they offer using affirmations, which you can also find on

Another thing they talk about is Vision Boards:

You take a big board, and you put pictures of the things that are what you want or represent them

(Business Growth, Intimate Love, Financial Freedom, Big House, etc’)

To remind yourself (Or your subconscious mind, the R.A.S system, the universal mind and what have you)

of what you want, and get into a state where you at least feel like you already have it.

*I think visualization is the most powerful tool and is more flexible in its use, so I don’t use vision boards.

How about a simple explanation?

If you do it in the morning, every morning, you’ll get:

A. Focus and Clarity on what you want, and Clarity is Power

B. Motivated and Driven, Visualization will get you excited to start acting on it.

This is not the end-all be-all, because, as they say:

If you’re interested, you’ll do what’s convenient.

If you’re committed, you’ll do whatever it takes.

So its not about getting all positive and say ‘how cool would it be if I’d have that’, its about making it a MUST and not a SHOULD.

When you get absolutely clear on why you HAVE to get that and not only want to, strategies come in.

What else does it say?

Since business, of any kind, is innovation + marketing, and:

Innovation is your part, their part is to provide you with some marketing strategies, they offer some in the book and at One Coach.

*Tim Ferriss also uses Negative Visualizations , which I think is great because to get yourself to do something – its about getting clear on why you absolutely HAVE to get it, be there, be it, and so on; and why you CAN’T STAND not getting it, being there, being it.

Here’s the Book

And here’s to an exciting, productive and fulfilling 2011.

Crush It! Leveraging your Passion

Crush It! A new book by Gary Vaynerchuck, an author, writer, creator of the WineLibrary and co-founder of VaynerMedia.

The book is short and inspiring, so get it if you can.

Main Keys from the Book

The Psychology

Gary’s 3 Rules:

Love your family

Work super-hard

Live your passion

The process I’m going to be talking about takes a lot of time, effort and focus, but not a lot of dollars, if any. That, my friends, is the game changer; everyone has a shot, not just those with extra cash.

Skills are cheap, passion is priceless.

If you want it badly enough, the money is there, the success is there, and the fulfillment is there.

The Internet is your Window to the World

The internet makes it possible for anyone to be 100 percent true to themselves and make serious cash by turning what they love most into their personal brand. There no longer has to be a difference between who you are and what you do.

You can monetize any passion, but the level at which you can monetize will be affected by the size of your niche and whether you are able to differentiate yourself enough from the other players in it. There are a lot of pockets out there today, however, that can sustain a nice 40-75 thousand dollars a year business

Think of it this way; your website is for communicating logistics and facilitating sales; your blog is for communicating the essence of your brand.

Make Social Media your Friend

Know yourself. Choose the right medium (writing, talking, video, etc’), choose the right topic, create awesome content, and you can make a lot of money being happy.

Find your passion

give amazing content

get traffic through social media

get contacted by biz development guys

make it crazy big

the sky is the floor.

If you want to dominate the social media game, all of your effort has to come from the heart; and it can’t come from the heart in the passionate, irrational, wholehearted way it needs to if you’re trying to be anyone but yourself. Authenticity is what will make it possible for you to put in the kind hustle necessary to crush it

Last Message

If there’s any message I want you to take away, it’s that true success – financial, personal and professional – lies above all in loving your family, working hard, and living your passion, in telling your story, in authenticity, hustle, and patience, in caring fiercely about the big and the small stuff, in valuing legacy over currency. Social media is an important part of it now, but maybe it won’t always be. These concepts, however, are forever, no matter what the next business platform or the social phenomenon turns out to be.

His practical advice is in ‘appendix a’, so if you’re not interested in the psychology, the personal story or the motivation, here it is:

The 21 Steps

1. Identify Your Passion

2. Make sure you can think about at least 50 awesome blog topics

3. Answer the Following:

Am I Sure My Passion is What I Think it is?

Can I talk about it better than anyone else?

4. Name your personal brand

5. Buy your user name at Go Daddy

6. Choose your medium: Video/Audio/Written word.

7. Start a blog (WordPress / Tumblr)

8. Hire a designer

9. Create a button which invited people to do business with you

10. Create a page of facebook

11. Sign up for and Tubemogul

12. Post your content

13. Create a community – leave comments on other blogs and forums.

14. Use twitter search to find people talking about your content, and get in there

15. Use to find blogs relevant to your subject

16. Join relevant Facebook groups and pages

17. Repeat steps 12-16 over and over and over and over again.

18. Do it again.

19. And Again.

20. When you feel your personal brand has gained sufficient attention and stickiness, start reaching out to advertisers and begin monetizing.

21. Enjoy the ride.

My Thoughts

The book is very short and easy to read, it inspires you to take action and shows you how simple can things be. I like Gary’s approach and how much he emphasizes your love and passion and doesn’t just talk about ‘making money’ without bringing yourself truly into it.

I’m not sure that what has worked for him (see book) will work for everyone, hence the 21 steps aren’t a success formula, but they can stream one in the right direction, where deep understanding and great skill can be developed.

A Marketing Genius, or just a Genius? Tim Ferriss

Tim Ferriss is the author of the 4-Hour Workweek and of the new 4-Hour Body.

Check out this short trailer:

Selected points from the 4-Hour Workweek:

The commonsense rules of the “real world” are a fragile collection of socially reinforced illusions.

I won’t ask you to choose between enjoyment today or money later. I believe you can both now. The goal is fun and profit.

Free time and automate it.

Inactivity is not the goal. Doing that which excites you is.

Focus on being productive instead of busy.

Nine to five for your working lifetime of 40-50 years is a long ass time if the rescue doesn’t come.

Fishing is best where the fewest go, and the collective insecurity of the world makes it easy for people to hit home runs while everyone is aiming for base hits.

How do your decisions change if retirement isn’t an option?

One doesn’t accumulate but eliminate. It is not daily increase but daily decrease. The height of cultivation always runs to simplicity.

What you do is infinitely more important than how you do it. Efficiency is still important, but it is useless unless applied to the right things.

The key to not being rushed is remembering that lack of time is actually lack of priorities.

Slowing down doesn’t mean accomplishing less; it means cutting out counterproductive distractions and the perception of being rushed.

Fat-free performance and time freedom begins with limiting intake overload.

If you prioritize properly, there is no need to multitask. Do not multi-task.

Profit is only profitable to the extent that you can use it. For that you need time.

Am I being productive or just active?

If I can do it better than an assistant, why should I pay them at all? Because the goal is to free your time to focuse on bigger and better things.

Never automate somthing that can be eliminated, and never delegate something that can be automated or streamlined.

Substracting the bad does no create the good. It leaves a vacuum . Decreasing income – driven work isn’t the end goal. Living more – and becoming more – is.

Learning to replace the perception of time famine with appreciation of time abundance is like going from tripe espresso to decaf.

Final Notes

In the book he gives specific strategies and techniques, to free time, become more productive and happy, automate your income, become more mobile and have a great lifestyle even without a crazy income.
I have 20-pages worth of notes but I won’t bring them here, so, read the book.
“What can I do with my time to enjoy life and feel good about myself? I can’t offer a single answer that will fit all people , but, based on the dozens of fulfilled NR’s I’ve interviewed , there are two components that are fundamental: continual learning and service”

Do you know what you don’t know?

This is something to do every once in a while, a self-check called

What Do You Know?

Socrates, the super smart and cool guy who was probably just too much for the Athenians who decided to poison him, once said:

“The only real wisdom is to know you know nothing”

It is vital to assess what we know and want to know and not to think ‘we all that.

What Are Depth & Span?

My general approach always includes both depth and span.

Depth: going more and more into what I’m passionate about and am into at the moment.

Span: opening my mind and heart to other opportunities I’m not aware of or into right now.

If it weren’t for Depth, I wouldn’t be that good at anything and as much interested and excited about things I do. There’s always more depth, something new to learn, experience and integrate.

If it weren’t for Span, I wouldn’t be writing this, to get out of the cultural hypnosis and childhood conditioning – this is probably the most important thing you can do, be an intelligent Yes Man (or Woman), and say Yes to any opportunity to expand and grow.

This means that I will continue diving into Internet Marketing and Investing, as these are things I chose to focus on (Depth) AND simultaneously I will expand my perspective, knowledge and experience, through books, seminars, interesting people, etc.

New book review coming up.

Frank Kern, John Reese and Tony Robbins

Here’s the video, it’s gold.

Here are some powerful quotes of Tony:

What’s the holy grail between someone who is taking action and someone who isn’t ? It’s one word: CERTAINTY, when you’re absolutely certain that if I do this I am going to get that result, and that result is going to change my life, you’ll do it.

If it’s a MUST for you, you GOTTA make it work.

People can change their standards by getting around where its BETTER, people can change their standards by getting associated to whats true – like bills they gotta pay and the problems they have to solve, or they can do it because they are excited because there is something new they want to take on, everyone is different; but they got to find the WHY, and they got to come up with some DAILY RITUALS to get them going and just do a step at a time, that’s where you get MOMENTUM.

How do you produce certainty when the world isn’t giving it to you?

You get results in your head, that make you feel certain as if it had already happened.

Make it so today in not like yesterday

and tomorrow will be different forever
